Tellmi x Anti-Bullying Week 2025: From Problem to Power

For Anti-Bullying Week 2025, Tellmi shifted the focus from the problem of bullying to the potential of young people to create positive change. Rooted in the belief that young people have the power to build a kinder, more compassionate world. This vision inspired our ‘What is Good?’ campaign - a celebration of creativity, resilience, and youth-led positivity.

"What is Good?": A Platform for Expression and Change

Anti-Bullying Week, an initiative led by the Anti-Bullying Alliance, adopted the theme "Power for Good" for 2025, encouraging people to take meaningful action against bullying. Building on the Alliance’s successes with the platform, Tellmi designed a complementary campaign that provided a safe, structured way for young people to express themselves and highlight the positive actions they take in their communities.

The “What is Good?” campaign invited young people to explore what kindness, empathy, and positive change mean to them - reinforcing the message that everybody has the capacity to make a difference.

Outreach and Community Engagement

Tellmi’s approach to engagement is grounded in partnership and consistency across commissioned areas. Working closely with schools, local authorities, and other local support services, Tellmi delivers a calendar of funded, evidence-informed resources that align with key dates throughout the year.

For Anti-Bullying Week 2025, Tellmi showed this commitment by hosting our brand new competition. This engaging activity invited our diverse group of users to take part.

Encouraging Creativity and Recognising Achievement

To inspire participation and celebrate creativity, Tellmi offered four £50 Amazon vouchers as prizes.  Submissions were assessed on originality, emotional impact, and alignment with the “What is Good?” theme. Participants were invited to explore this through various art forms, including poems, artwork, or short stories, ensuring accessibility for a wide range of creative talents and communication styles.

The approach not only encouraged self-expression but also supported emotional literacy and confidence-building, key outcomes aligned with NHS priorities around early intervention and prevention in youth mental health.

Accessible Tools to Support Participation

To ensure accessibility and inclusion, Tellmi created a set of resources, including guidance materials, useful tips, and creative prompts. Schools and local organisations could order printed materials directly from the Tellmi Shop, or download digital versions online, ensuring everyone had the support needed to unlock their full creative potential and reinforce the campaign’s preventative and educational aims.

Delivering Impact

This project was designed to achieve several important goals. First to raise awareness about bullying, but also to foster a consistently positive and supportive environment within the Tellmi app itself, strengthening its role as a safe place for young voices and a force for positive change.

In addition, we were keen to give young people a valuable way to proudly show their remarkable work and truly express their inner thoughts and feelings.

Campaign Success and Impact

We received many compelling and creative entries across the poetry, artwork, and storytelling categories, all showcasing the depth of thought, empathy, and positivity from young people.

In the end, we couldn’t whittle it down to just four winners and had to push this up to five! The winners were selected for best representing what 'Good' means to them and were published in the app.

Beyond the competition, the campaign strengthened Tellmi’s role as a trusted partner in promoting wellbeing and early intervention. By combining creativity, digital engagement, and community collaboration, “What is Good?” demonstrated how targeted, informed initiatives can amplify young voices, promote emotional wellbeing, and create safer, kinder spaces - both online and offline.

Just two of our winners

Good is a quiet wind that brushes past your face in the early morning,
a whisper in the stillness before the city wakes.
It is the stretch of limbs reaching for the sky,
the sprint that burns your legs, the weight that presses down,
and yet, somehow, you rise again.

This is how I managed to gain support from Tellmi but many others have many different stories... Whether it’s parent issues, ADHD, anger issues, autism, GCSE help, there is always going to be someone on Tellmi that has a similar situation as you. Get help and support from Tellmi.
